Description
xDan Ariely is a behavioural economist whose books examine the forces influencing judgement and everyday decisions.
Why can people who seem rational become convinced by false information? Dan Ariely examines the emotional, social and cognitive forces that draw individuals towards mistrust and irrational beliefs. Combining research with his own experience of becoming a target of disinformation, he considers how circumstances and relationships can change the way evidence is interpreted. The book encourages readers to understand misbelief as a human problem, exploring why empathy and awareness may be more useful than confrontation when trying to make sense of another person's convictions.
Buy your copy from The English Bookshop in Kuwait or order online, and examine the psychology behind irrational belief.
