Description
xAnn Patchett is an American novelist whose fiction explores family, friendship and the connections shaping people's lives.
A visit to New York's Metropolitan Museum brings Daphne face to face with Eddie, the stepfather she has not seen since childhood. Their brief time as a family ended after an event that changed both their lives. Meeting again allows them to revisit that shared past and reconsider the people they have become. Through their reunion, the novel explores how a short relationship can leave a lasting mark, and how memory, affection and being understood continue to shape a life.
